Mission:

To provide a current directory of members, solicit new memberships and renewals and keep a record of membership applications and fees. The Committee shall be responsible for polling the membership, as directed by the Board of Directors, to elicit feedback on the Association’s ability to meet member needs.

Goals:

• Continue to promote on the MCA website and in the Forum current incentives to be an MCA member and continue to develop more incentives for MCA members.

• Training two times a year for current MCA members.

• The names of MCA members that did not renew their MCA membership should be made available each year following the fall conference. 

• The membership committee would send a letter to each person that did not attend the conference and did not renew their membership.  The letter would encourage them to renew their membership.

• The membership committee should work with the MCA web site coordinator to develop a way to renew your membership on line.  

• The membership committee should develop a way to recruit members on line, through e-mail to other correctional organizations, County and State supervisors.

• Membership payment should be sent directly to the MCA treasurer.

• Membership Application should be updated yearly to insure address and MCA information is current.

This committee of at least (2) two persons, shall be approved by the executive committee, who shall designate the chairperson.  The treasurer shall be a member of the committee.
